A fter an invigorating shower 3 p. m. found us refreshed and ready to greet the members of our class. Two of our members hadn't arrived—giving us a chance to visit. Clarence Stevens told us he was doing well on his ranch and that Janet Chatham was an excellent housekeeper. Mrs. Raymond Smith (nee Ramona Roth), one of our hostesses, told us she and her husband had a ranch near Lodge Grass. Guess who we found at the punch bowl— Joan Bergerson who is a successful dental technician. Mrs. Richard Chatham (nee Mary George) and Mrs. Paul Wiley (nee Carole Chatham) arrived at 3:30. Mary explained that she had trouble getting her four sons to take their naps. The boys were too busy playing with Carole's two children. May 26. 1963 Dear Diary, We slept late, then ate a hearty breakfast before attending the rodeo. Later, we bade our friends good-bye and boarded our plane—I, Diann Cooper to return to Las Vegas, Nevada for my new show at the Flamingo Club and I, Laura Ruth to Australia where my husband and I own a cattle ranch. Good night. Diary.

@lcU4 May 24, 1963 Dear Diary, Meeting in Cheyenne, Wyoming we prepared to board our plane for Lodge Grass, Montana where we are to attend the reunion of the Senior Class of ’53. The reunion is to be held at the Lakeside Yacht Club tomorrow afternoon at 3 p. m. We were joined at the airport by two former classmates, Tom Conroy, the singing sensation of the United States, and Pete Mason, retired multi-millionaire whose residence is in California. Pete told us he acquired his fortune by selling vitamin pills over Clint, Texas. We settled down to a pleasant trip by reminiscing. As we were flying over the Big Horn Mountains our plane developed engine trouble. The pilot informed us that he would have to make a forced landing at Wyola, Montana. We landed safely and were joined by Jewel Medicine Horse. She is on a vacation from her duties as head nurse at the Crow Agency Hospital. The plane was repaired and we continued our trip. At 4:27 p.m. we arrived at the Municipal Airport in Lodge Grass. We were greeted by Duane Roth who owns the airport and raises horses as a sideline. He chauffeured us to the Lakeside Yacht Club where we were to reside while in Lodge Grass. Swank, cool, and comfortable Lakeside, owned by Leona Waddell, is the most up-to-date hotel and night club in the Northwest. After freshening up Leona took us to the premier opening of Beautiful Haven, ” which was filmed on the fabulous Foltz Cattle Ranch owned by Frank Foltz. The picture is playing at the Cresent Drive-In Theater owned by Shirley Erickson. She gave us free passes in honor of the occasion. Upon returning to the Club we were told that Lola Bond and Darlene Paulsen had checked in during our absences. We hastened to their room to say hello! Lola's residence is in Alaska with her husband, and Darlene Paulsen is now die president of the Bell Telephone Company. May 25, 1963 Dear Diary, Imagine our surprise when we saw how Lodge Grass had grown! Couldn’t resist a sight seeing tour, and the Captol building was our first stop. We had hoped to talk with Teresa Bear, secretary to the President, but she was in private conference. Teresa is residing at the Governor's Mansion in Lodge Grass. At the Capitol we met John Calvetti, four star general, who is head of the Department of Defense. He had dropped in to say hello. After lunch we returned to the Club to dress for the reunion. On the way we passed the Post Office where a large poster advertising a coming rodeo was on display. The World Champion Bareback Rider, Paul Spotted Horse was to appear. We immediately made plans to attend.
