Administration With his eyes ever toward the future, Superintendent Donald K. Stamps seldom pauses to look back. Mr. Stamps has had a varied experience background. He taught elementary school for ten years, then became Lockwood Elementary School Principal, a position he held for nine years. Following was a year in the Car- thage Public School System. He became Superintendent of Lockwood R-l Schools in 1958. Mr. Stamps earned his Bachelor's De- gree at Southwest Missouri State College and his Master of Science in General Education from Kansas State College of Pittsburg. He takes a special interest in all those connected with the school--from the youngest grade pupil to the oldest high school student--as well as teachers and others who work for the school. Willa Lasater School Secretary Dedicated to the furthering of Lockwood R-l Schools, Superintendent Stamps stops for a moment to contemplate all the changes that have taken place since he came to the campus. The most recent addition is the new field and track.

Dedication Eleven years ago, Mrs. Zelda M. Smithpeters came to Lockwood High School. With her she brought ideas, principles, and progressive thoughts. Endowed with these qualities, she has worked tirelessly and unselfishly in the Business Department for the betterment of the whole school. Mrs. Smithpeters taught business in high schools for eight years, followed by a ten-year period working at various occupations in Chicago. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Central Missouri State College at Warrensburgg Missouri, and started back to teaching in l9L6. By attending summer schools at Central Missouri State College and Kansas State College, Mrs. Smithpeters earned her Master of Science Degree in 1960. We have learned to appreciate her through her words of counsel and encourage- ment when the road was rough and the journey long. Through her conversations and activities, she has shown her interest in the things that we consider important. To an outstanding teacher and devoted person, the Lockwood Tiger Staff wishes to dedicate the l966 Tiger to Mrs. Zelda M. Smithpeters.

Board of Education Unselfishness and diligence characterize the work of the six members of the Board of Education of the Lockwood R-1 Schools. With the best interest of the school in mind, these men lead the school forward. The satisfaction of helping public education is the reward for these outstanding men, who work in many fields. Faced with the responsibility of formulating the policies of the school, they strive to make de- cisions that will benefit the school now and in the future years.
