DUE TO THE INSTALLATION OF NEW EQUIPMENT DURING THE RECENT YARD PERIOD, THE SHIP HAS ACQUIRED A FORMIDABLE PASSIVE DETECTION CAPABILITY TO COMPLEMENT ITS ACTIVE SUITE. COUPLED WITH THE TESTING OF ASW PROJECTS STILL UNDER DEVELOPMENT, THIS SHIP IS THE MOST ADVANCED ASW PLATFORM IN ITS CLASS. DURING THIS DEPLOYMENT SEVERAL NEW METHODS OF SUBMARINE DETECTION AND TRACK- ING, AND THE INTEGRATION OF THE EXTENSIVE EQUIPMENT CAPABILITIES HAD TO BE LEARNED, WITH THE END RESULT A PROFESSIONAL AND CAPABLE GROUP OF SONARMEN.
