enior Cfafid . . . we sponsored the juniorfSenior Prom, Swingf ing on a Star. Part of our class became the first junior Pen Wipers. The class play, Love Your Neighbor, filled in another block in our pattern of activity. In the GA.A. Volleyball and Basketball Intramural Contests, we came out champs Many of the boys constituted a big part of the varsity football, basketball, and baseball teams. To complete the days around the clock of our junior year, the seniors inf vited us to their picnic. Responsibilities came thick and fast in our senior year. Materiall had to be gathered for our monthly publication of The Times. Work on The Lock went on practically all year, that included the taking and mounting of picturesg writing captions, identifications, and literary articlesg proofreading, etc. Part of the fun came in the way of the J.R.C. formal dance, Autumn Serenade. A big event in thc year was the 0pen House for parents and friends. We seniors also had a share in the opcretta, Marianne Love Is Too Much Trouble, our senior play, topped the latr: spring activities. The -IuniorfSenior Prom fol- lowed that. Another part of any senior's life was choosing a class ring and invitations, and still to look forward to are the JuniorfSenior Picnic and Class Day. Thus we leave L.T.H.S. and all its pleasant memories, having completed our four years of around-thefclock life and hoping that the classes to follow will enjoy their clockwork years as much as we have. September brings school, and September 1943 brought 165 of us as wondering freshmen to the study hall to elect Joe Broderick as our class president. World War II changed the pattern of numerous activities in our school life, for parties and frivolous things were on a priority. However, we got into the swing of things by joining the G.A.A.g FroshfSoph basketball, football, and baseballg chorus and band, and many took part in the operetta, Bits O' Blarney. As sophomores, we attended the Sham' rock Swirl, first junior Red Cross formal dance. Sports and music still topped the list of our activities. The major musical event of the year was the operetta, Tulip Time. Chuck Qrding was president of the class. As upperclassmen in 1946, we participated in more activities. The Carnival Cotillionf' junior Red Cross formal dance, saw many of our members in gala attire. Also, as juniors,
