lEAIlI G, Mr. Skamser and Mr. Paul White share the honor ot teaching the greatest num- ber of subjects. We have no doubt that from them we learned something new each day. ln Mr. Stephenson's history classes we have had the opportunity of fighting more battles than ever. If we had stopped lighting aiter the Revolution, our task would have been much easier. Mr. Sterling proved to many ot us that it is possible to make clever articles out of trees. Mr. Weston has accomplished a mod- ern miracle this past year. He found that precious electron that was lost some time ago. We hope that the mechanics down in Mr. H. A. White's auto shop have iig- ured out a way for our old jalopies to run another ten years or so. Harold P. Skamser Iames M. Stephenson B.S. Margaret Schumann Margaret Shepherd Gllllll G, Whether we speak of dancing or swim- ming, the phrase one, two, three, dip may be traced to Miss Qlson. Could this be Mr. Pence we see before us as we creep in our petty pace from class to class? l-le has helped many of us to understand and appreciate Shake speare. Uncle Sam needs trained machinists. Mr. Reed has done a fine job of teaching many of the boys the fundamentals in this field. Aside from teaching art and home plan- ning, Miss Schrock has done great work this year in creating student interest in the defense program and in aiding the Red Cross. Miss Schumann has certainly done her part in helping to ease our fears as we quake and tremble in the outer office. Miss Shepherd, our librarian, has be- friended all with her skill and willingness to assist us in reference problems.

THE Sl Illlt MASS CLASS OFFICERS Iohn Kesser President Dean Sterling Vice President Arthur Pius Secretary Walter Munch Treasurer . l SENIOR CLASS HISTCRY ln September l938, we entered L. T. l-l. S. as a bewildered group ot treshmen, and are coming out this year, hoping to have gained some knowledge. During these tour years we chose Grace Claussen, Amil Ajamie, Phyllis Morey, and lohn Kesser, presidentsp Andy Ladd, Clifford lohnson, lune Lynn, and Dean Sterling, vicef presidents: tune Lynn, Dean Sterling, lohn Kesser, and Arthur Pius, secretariesg and Rich- ard Stamm, Phyllis Morey, Williarri Twichell, and Walter Munch, treasurers. The activities ot our first two years were quite limited, but when we became upper classmen our social schedule included the iunior play, junior prom, junior-senior parties, and the senior picnic. Our senior year has added many new and interesting things, as we have a swimming pool, bowling clubs, our senior play, The Bashtul Bachelor, the TIMES and LOCK staffs, our parties, and the junior prom. Soon we will be leaving L. T. H. S, and hope that every one ot our classmates will tind future success.
