HAIZHI li, An absence of grammatical mistakes in these passages would be due to the teaching of Miss Fitzgerald and Miss Emmons in Eng- lish. We hope this is a credit to their work. Mr. Flink and Mr. Lindberg, athletic director and coach respectively, have helped to make school lite more enjoyable through their in- teresting sports' program. Who says Latin is a dead language? lulius Caesar and his men lived every morn- ing from 8:30 to 9:15 in Mr. lohnsonius's Latin class. He also spends much time teaching the iuniors and seniors to act like Garbos and Gables. Report cards, excuses, and calls to the ot- tice have made some ot us very frequent callers on Miss Meader. l Lucite Emmons Dorothy M. Fitzgerald Ph.B., AM. B.Ed. Edward Elink A. lohnsonius A.B., A.M. AB., AM. Lester Lindberg Lois Meader B.S.

Daymond Akin B. Ed., A.M. BUS, Margaret Azeltine Beulgh Barrick Clinton O. Bismarck AB., AM. A-B' Catherine I. Bottino Ernest Caneva B.S. THE FAIIIIHY, We, the departing seniors, take this means of thanking the faculty for their untiring ef- forts in guiding us over the rough path to a brighter future. Mr. Akin, who teaches mathematics along with science and physics, made his classes less painful by performing interesting ex- periments. Due to the patient guidance of Miss Azel- tine, L. T. H. S. is turning out many good ste- nographers and typists for this busy world of today. Mr. Bismarck, science, biology, and chem- istry teacher, helped us in our study of bugs and elements. Miss Barrick, our mathematics teacher, did her best to teach us what two times two equals. Our home economics teacher, Miss Cather- ine longsma, followed in the tradition of all good cooks by finding a husband. Mrs. Louis Bottino finished the year in her place. Our band director, Mr. Caneva, taught many of us how to blow our own horns. l may add that we have become very apt pupils.

Eva Qlson lolin l.. Pence AB. AB. H. Q. Reed Gladys E. Schrock B.S., A.M. Margaret Schumann Margaret Shepherd Gllllll G, Whether we speak of dancing or swim- ming, the phrase one, two, three, dip may be traced to Miss Qlson. Could this be Mr. Pence we see before us as we creep in our petty pace from class to class? l-le has helped many of us to understand and appreciate Shake speare. Uncle Sam needs trained machinists. Mr. Reed has done a fine job of teaching many of the boys the fundamentals in this field. Aside from teaching art and home plan- ning, Miss Schrock has done great work this year in creating student interest in the defense program and in aiding the Red Cross. Miss Schumann has certainly done her part in helping to ease our fears as we quake and tremble in the outer office. Miss Shepherd, our librarian, has be- friended all with her skill and willingness to assist us in reference problems.
