We have chosen 'LPatriotism for the GAZETTE theme this year in an endeavor to express our consciousness regarding the world in which we live. We realize that the preparations of our high school days will find a strenuous testing ground in the exigencies of the future. We are ready to serve and to prove ourselves, knowing that in whatever capacity this service might be made manifest, our citizenship, loyalty and honest patriotism cannot be regarded lightly. May the fervent desires of this graduating class to make a worthy contribution to its nation be fulfilled and help to bring that wiser day when order is resolved from chaos, and war will have been supplanted with a worthy peace.
