Under new head coach, Mark Lake, the Saxons began to rebuild, placing third in their first tournament of the year. Lead by team captain Son Luc, who was the only four-year wres- tler on the team, the Grapplers placed third in the Magnolia tour- nament. In the Edison Eight-Way tournament, Aaron Mduenda, Jeff Taylor, Son Luc. and Rocha Gustavo finished as runners up. Other outstanding wrestlers were Jim Leonard, Andy Hall, Steve Hall, Dan Bokelman, Steve Nitao, and Steven Whitford.
