130 Jumping up and down and cheering for their favorite teams may sound like a piece of cake; but, in fact, a lot of people overlook the other side. Throughout the year during sixth period, both teams changed into their practice clothes and ran through their mixed cheer and song competition routines. And on game days, the girls ran through game actions to refresh their memories. Sometimes the girls ' practices lasted after every- one else had gone home. But that wasn ' t all. During the sum- mer and during cheerleading camp in late August, the girls be- came very accomplished at tack- ling new cheers and dances in a very short amount of time.
