122 This year the winter dance was held at the Sheraton in Anaheim. Decorated in the theme colors of fuchsia and black, the ballroom featured colorful and delightful decora- tions. Once again, the attire was traditionally formal. Dressed in a wide variety of dazzling colors, textures, and styles, Saxons danced and enjoyed the ele- gance of the evening. Over a hundred couples attended this year ' s Winter Enchantment. Gen- esis, the DJ ' s, were welcomed back once again and provided outstanding music. The dance was sponsored by the House of Representatives, and thanks should be given to Machelle Ready, who headed up the com- mittee which planned and orga- nized the event. Ruth Cayford and Craig Beltran, the queen and king, along with the princesses and princes, Sara Derakshanian, Chris Hoffman, Misty Marcum, Kari Swallows, and Ryan Bassett danced to the theme song A Groovy Kind of Love by Phil Collins. Winter Enchantment ended with a magical feeling that lasted many hours after the dance. 89 WINTER ENCHANTMENT DAZZLES WITH EXCITEMENT
