GIRLS ' SWIMMING ACHIEVES AQUATIC EXCELLENCE 1987-1988 WAS A GREAT SUCCESS FOR THIS YEAR ' S VARSITY AND J.V. SWIM TEAM. THE LADY SWIMMERS MET ALL CHALLENGING MEETS HEAD ON. THEY CREATED A GREAT ATMO- SPHERE OF TEAM PRIDE AND SCHOOL SPIRIT. LOARA WAS ENDOWED WITH MANY STRONG SWIMMERS THIS YEAR. THEY HAD SEVERAL HARD PRACTICES A DAY TO BUILD STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE. THEIR DRIVING FORCE WAS THEIR COACH WHO WAS OUR OWN MR. CULLIN- ANE HE INSPIRED THEM TO BE THE BEST THEY COULD BE. THIS YEAR ' S TEAM HAD SOME EX- CEPTIONAL AND TALENTED SWIMMERS. KELLY COOLEY, JENNIFER LEONARD, CARY MISAKA, AND KATIE WHORTON WERE SOME OF THE FEW. COACH CULLINANE WAS QUOTED AS SAYING, IN THE LAST THREE YEARS WE HAVE SEEN MUCH IMPROVEMENT IN THIS TEAM. THEY GAINED THE REWARDS OF SPORTSMANSHIP AND TEAM PRIDE. THIS HAS BEEN A YEAR OF GREAT PROGRESS AND GROWTH. GREAT JOB, SWIMMERS!

THE 1987-88 BOYS ' SWIM TEAM HAD QUITE A SUCCESSFUL SEA- SON. IT IS BELIEVED THAT EXPER- IENCE AND DETERMINATION PLAYED A KEY ROLE DURING THE MEETS. THE RETURNING SWIMMERS CONTRIBUTED THEIR TALENTS NOT ONLY DURING MEETS, BUT ALSO DURING PRACTICES BY HELPING THE YOUNG AND NOT-SO- EXPERIENCED SWIMMERS. THE IN- EXPERIENCED SWIMMERS CAME THROUGH WITH POINTS IN KEY EVENTS WHICH HELPED THE TEAM WIN MANY MEETS. THIS YEAR ' S TEAM WAS COACHES BY ED BROSKI. WITH EX- PERIENCE, DETERMINATION, AND A GOOD COACH, THE BOYS ' TEAM EX- CELLED. i
