THIS SUC- CESS BEGAN WHEN THE TEAM WON ITS TWO PRE-SEASON GAMES AGAINST SOUTH- ERN CALIFORNIA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL AND SANTIAGO HIGH SCHOOL. BUT THIS AC- COMPLISHMENT WAS NOT EARNED WITH- OUT HARD WORK. THE GIRLS PRACTICED DAILY DURING SIXTH PERIOD AND AFTER- SCHOOL UNTIL 4:3OP,M. THE TEAM'S PRAC- TICE INCLUDED BATTING IN THE INFIELD AND OUTFIELD SITUATIONS. THESE RETURN- ING MEMBERS WERE LAVON COLLINS, KIMMY EVANS, SHANNON MURANY, TAMMY NELSON, HEIDI SOROUR, AND KIM YO- SHIOKA. LAVON COLLINS, A RETURNING MEMBER SAID, LOARA'S V. SOFTBALL TEAM IS THE GREATEST THIS YEAR. WE HAVE AN OUTSTANDING DEFENSE AND OF- FENSE. SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR COACH MRS. LARSON. SiX seven Andrea Neitske gets a hit against Southern Cali- tornia Christian High School in a game at Loara, a game which we won I5-O. Heidi Sorour, Tammy Nelson, Shannon Kirkland, Dunya, Kathleen Williams, Christie Nonnweiler, Lori Hudson, Krinon Lapihuska, and Stephanie Palty show the team's warm triendships which accumulate throughout the year. Watch out, here comes my fastball, Krinon La- pihuska seems to be thinking. Tammy Nelson shows good form while sliding in tor another run. 5. 6. 7.
