WITH DAN CULLINANE AS HEAD COACH AND IOAN HOWLAND AS ASSIS- TANT, THE SWIMMERS HAD OUTSTAND- ING INSTRUCTION AND TALENT. THIS YEAR THE TEAM CONCENTRATED ON THE FOUR MAIOR STROKES: BREAST, BUTTER- FLY, FREESTYLE, AND BACKSTROKE. AT EACH WORKOUT THE GIRLS AIMED AT INCREASING THEIR SPEED AND ENDUR- ANCE.
