IN PREPARATION FOR THE YEARS TO COME, THESE ATHLETES PLAY THE SAME NUMBER OF GAMES AS THE VARSITY TEAM, AND THEY RUN THEIR DEFENSE AND OFFENSE IN THE SAME WAY. THE SOPHOMORE AND FRESHMAN ATHLETES LEARN PLAYS, SPORTSMAN- SHIP, AND COOPERATION. THEY ALSO GAIN EXPERIENCE, CONFIDENCE, AND SKILLS, ALL OF WHICH WILL BE NEEDED FOR LATER SUCCESS. THE SOPHOMORE TEAM IMPROVED THEIR RECORD OVER LAST YEAR'S. THEIR FINAL RECORD WAS 3-7. THE SOPHO- MORE TEAM, COACHED BY RAY MOORE AND AARON KAYE, SHOWED GREAT ABILITY. THE TEAM WAS LED OFFENSIVE- LY BY MATT DRAGER, STEVE FEENEY, RANDY HALCOMB. THE TEAM WAS LED ON DEFENSE BY SHAWN CLANCY, IOHN HILL, AND IOHNY WEBER. THE SOPHOMORES SHOWED MUCH IM- PROVEMENT BY THE END OF THE SEA- SON. THEY CONTINUED TO IMPROVE EACH WEEK. COMMENTING ABOUT THE SEASON, OUARTERBACK MATT DRAGER SAID, ALL YEAR WE GOT BETTER IN WORKING AS A TEAM. THE FRESHMAN TEAM SHOWED END- LESS SPIRIT THIS SEASON. THEY TRAINED WITH GREAT DISCIPLINE EVERY DAY. THEIR RECORD WAS 4-5. THERE WERE KEY PLAYERS, BUT IT'S DIFFICULT TO PIN- POINT INDIVIDUALS. THE TEAM WAS COACHED BY MARTY IOHNSON, DAVE HURLBURT, AND TOM CASPERI. THE COACHES FELT THE TEAM SHOWED GREAT ENTHUSIASM. WITH LITTLE EXPERIENCE, THE FRESH- MEN SHOWED GREAT ABILITY AND PO- TENTIAL FOR NEXT YEAR. IOOIIDDII X 6 I
