A TO SSEMBLE A CLASS-EI E RACER WEE! seven eiQhl U NY I Tl-- nine eleven THE 1986-87 LOARA AUTO CLUB MET EVERYDAY DURING THIRD AND FOURTH PERIODS. THIS YEAR'S AUTO CLUB WAS UNDER THE SUPERVISION OE MR. BILL CLAYTOR. THIS WAS MR. CLAYTOR'S FIRST YEAR OF TEACHING AT LOARA. HE ENIOYED TEACHING THE HARDWORK- ING AND DEDICATED STUDENTS. DURING THE COURSE OF THE YEAR, THE CLUB UNDERTOOK MANY TIME-CON SUMING TASKS, ONE OE WHICH WAS THE ASSEMBLING AND FINAL PREPARA- TION OE A CLASS-FIVE BAIA BUG. THE ENTIRE CLUB WORKED ON THE PROIECT, AND THE CAR WILL RACE AGAINST MANY OE THE OEF-ROAD PROFESSIONAL RACERS IN I988. THE PROTECT PROVIDED A REWARDING LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR ALL INVOLVED. Andy Russell shows ott his tencing abilities, Derek Adams and Adam Wik fantasize about taking this project to Glamis. Mamanit Ombina wonders about this transmis- sion problem. l wonder where this went jokes Tom Wash- burn. Andrew Bereczy uses his strength to litt this motor. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE? OUR WONDEREULLY ACADEMIC AND AMAZING KIWANIS BOWL TEAM WAS LEAD ONCE AGAIN BY, YES, THATS RIGHT, THAT EVER-SO-AMAZING WUN- DERKIND, MIKE PROCOPIO. THE REST OF THE TEAM INCLUDED ARA AMERKHAN- IAN, CRAIG BOYD, ROBERT DAGNALL, CAMERON DARWEESH, IIM DELEHOY, ADAM FULLMAN, IEEE IACOBSON, ADAM SHERR, MICHAEL WALLACE, IAMES WIL- LIAMS AND KEN YUEN. MRS. ESPING BRIL- LIANTLY HEADED THE INCREDIBLE TEAM TO GLORIOUS NEW VICTORIES AND EVEN MORE GLORIOUS VICTORY PAR- TIES. SOME OE THE CATEGORIES THAT WERE LOVABLY COVERED DURING THE COURSE OF THE FEW COMPETITIONS WERE AMERICAN HISTORY, FAMOUS NAMES, WORLD HISTORY, AMERICAN LIT- ERATURE, ENGLISH LITERATURE, GEOG- RAPHY, SCIENCE AND MATH. OUR FEAR- LESS BOYS-AT-THE-BUZZERS EXCELLED IN EVERY CATEGORY. l. Darnl I knew that onel pouts Rob Dagnall. 2. Mike laughs condescenclingly at one ot the tar- tetched answers given by a peer. 3. lim Delehoy raises his hand with enthusiasm and energy to answer the question. 4.
