VICE-PRESIDENT, TONY FERRENTINO, TREA- SURER, AND SECRETARY KNOCH CPAUL KNOCH, THAT ISD, THE YEAR OF 1987 WAS A YEAR OF HONOR AND RECOGNITION. THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE YEAR WAS THE ANNU- AL INDUCTION CEREMONY. THE PURPOSE OF THE CEREMONY WAS TO FORMALLY INI- TIATE MEMBERS INTO THE SOCIETY. ERIKA LAWRENCE SAID, IT WAS THE CANDLES THAT DID IT FOR ME, THE CANDLES ALONG WITH THE CEREMONY, ADDITION- AL HONORS WERE THE BLUE HONOR CORDS, CUSTOMARILY WORN AT THE LONG-AWAITED GRADUATION CEREMO- NY. MR. LARRY KLEVOS AND MRS. IANE DA- VIS HEADED THE SOCIETY THIS YEAR WITH THEIR ENTHUSIASM AND BOUNTEOUS PA- TIENCE. ALL IN ALL, THE SOCIETY DID MUCH FOR THE MEMBERS, BY PROVIDING ALL THAT ITS NAME IMPLIES-NUMEROUS HONORS FOR ITS HONORABLE MEMBERS. THE CALIFORNIA SCHOLARSHIP FEDER- ATION WAS TRULY AN INTELLECTUALLY STIMULATING EXPERIENCE. IT BROADENED HORIZONS AND ENLIGHTENED ALL TO THE WONDERS OF INTEGRITY, SCHOLARLY AC- TIVITY, AND INTELLECT. OKAY, LET ME CUT THE BALONEY, CSF ENTAILED GIFT WRAP SALES, SANTA GRAMS, AND STEALING HELPLESS RIVAL CLUB MASCOTS. MR. PRESIDENT, SAMUEL LEE, FULFILLED ALL OF HIS PRESIDENTIAL DUTIES BY ARRANG- ING MEETINGS, FUND RAISERS, AND BEAT- ING STUFFED ANIMALS. VICE-PRESIDENT DAVID KNOCH AND SECRETARY LESLEY FRIEDLAND ALSO FULFILLED THEIR DELE- GATED DUTIES. MARK CHEN COLLECTED MONEY FROM OUR RELUCTANT HANDS AND THEREFORE DISPLAYED HIMSELF AS A GOOD AND PROPER TREASURER. MR. NICH- OLSON AND MRS. MILLER LED THE CSF'RS. THE CALIFORNIA SCHOLARSHIP FEDER- ATION PROVIDED FOR A SCHOLARSHIP TO BE GIVEN TO A LUCKY, OR MANY LUCKY STUDENTS, WHO EXEMPLIFIED BEHAVIOUR AS TO THEIR NEED OR ACADEMIC CAPABI- LITY. SO, HATS OFF TO A WONDERFULLY GIVING ASSOCIATION. I. NHS officers: Paul Knoch, Secretary, Tony Ferrentino, Treasurer, and keeping peace, President Tricia Creasong and Mercy Kuo, Vice-President. 2. Cameron, Afshin, Ed, and Lena sense the impending excitement of the NHS meeting and await with bated breath. 3. Shawna's guffaws exemplify' the fun at the meeting. 4.
