UNDER THE CLOSE SUPERVISION OF RUTH WILKOFF, THIS TEAM OF INTELLECTUAL YOUTHS RANKED SECOND IN THEIR FIRST ROUND OF COMPETITION. THEY WERE CHOSEN ACCORD- ING TO THEIR GRADEPOINT AVERAGES AND ON THEIR PSAT SCORES. THEY ALSO HAD TO BE ACADEMICALLY WELL ROUNDED BECAUSE OF THE VAR- IOUS CATEGORIES THEY WERE TESTED ON. LOARA'S OCAD TEAM EMERGED WITH MANY WELL-DESERVED MEDALS. ROBERT DAGNALL RANKED FIRST OVERALL, AND MIKE PROCOPIO RANKED THIRD. PREPARATION FOR THE COMPETITION INVOLVED MANY HOURS OF IN- TENSE STUDYING THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER AND AFTER SCHOOL. THE TEAM HAD A PENCHANT FOR WANDERING OFF ON A TANGENT INSTEAD OF DISCUSSING THE MATTERS AT HAND. AMONG THE TEAMS FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT OCAD WERE THE CHALLENGE, MRS. WILKOFF, THE SWINGING DISCUSSIONS, AND ESPECIALLY THE MEDALS. LOARA'S OCAD TEAM DESERVES A BIG HAND FOR WHAT THEY HAVE ACHIEVED. THROUGH HARD WORK AND DETERMINATION, THESE SCHOL- ARLY STUDENTS WERE ABLE TO KEEP UP THE TRADITION OF OUTSTANDY ING OCAD TEAMS. ocadfI7S
