BEING A MEMBER OF THE LOARA BAND IS NOT ALI, FUN AND GAMES. EVERY MORNING REHEARS, AIIL BEGAN ON THE FIELD AT 6:45. PRACTICES INCLUDED PERFECTING MARCHING TECHNIQUES AND FORMATIONS. DURING THE DAY, BAND MEM- BERS MET ONCE AGAIN IN CLASS, AFTER SCHOOL, DIFFERENT INSTRUMENTAL SECTIONS CONTINUED TO PRACTICE. HOWEVER, ALL OF THIS HARD WORK WAS WELL WORTH THEIR EFFORT. LOARA RECEIVED MANY AWARDS SUCH AS FIRST PLACE AT THE SILVERADO DAYS PARADE AND AT MT. CARMEL FIELD COMPETITION. BAND ALSO TOOK SECOND PLACE AT MISSION VIEIO. THE LOARA BAND WAS SUCCESSFUL THIS YEAR AND PROVED THEMSELVES TO BE ONE OF THE STRONGEST YOUNGEST BANDS EVER WHY SHOULDN'T THEY BE? THEIR LIFE WAS BAND! WORKING AND COOPERATING TOGETHER CRE- ATED FRIENDSHIP AND UNITY WHICH IS BOUND TO BRING GREAT ACHIEVEMENT TO ANY GROUP. MANY THANKS TO ALL OF THE BAND BOOSTERS FOR ALL OF THEIR HELP, AND ESPECIALLY TO BILL SCHROEDER AND STEVE GRAVES. WITH THEIR MUSICAL KNOWLEDG AND STRONG COM- MITMENT THE TRADITION OF LOARA'S EXCEL, LENT BAND WAS CARRIED ON. I. I.oara's band is a lamily. Nqoy Malmquist and Richard Ward show their brotherhood. 2.
