WITH THEIR TALENTED DANCING AND SPIRITED CHEERS THE SAXON SONG- LEADERS HELPED BRING SPIRIT AND PRIDE TO LOARA. WHETHER THEY WERE CHEERING AT FOOTBALL GAMES, PER- FORMING AT ASSEMBLIES, OR EVEN MAKING POSTERS, THE SONGLEADERS HELPED LOARA MAINTAIN A HIGH LEVEL OF SCHOOL SPIRIT. THE ENTHUSIASTIC SOUAD SPENT A GREAT DEAL OF TIME PRACTICING DUR- ING THE SUMMER AND AFTER SCHOOL EACH DAY. THEY ATTENDED USA IUNITED SPIRIT ASSOCIATIOND CAMP AND EARNED ALL SUPERIOR MARKS ON THEIR ROUTINES AND CHEERS. RHONDA WARD WAS THE ADVISOR OF THE SONGLEADERS AND INSPIRED THEM TO ALWAYS DO THEIR BEST. THE SONG- LEADERS ALSO HAD USA COACHES AND GYMNASTICS COACHES. THEIR HARD WORK PAID OFF AS THEY PERFORMED THEIR ROUTINES EXPERTLY EVERY TIME. DURING THE YEAR, THE SOUAD BE- CAME VERY CLOSE, AND MANY FRIEND- SHIPS WERE DEVELOPED. HEAD SONG- LEADER, BROOKE CODY, SUMMED UP HER EXPERIENCE AS A SONGLEADER BY STATING, 'ITHE FRIENDSHIPS THAT WERE MADE ON THIS YEARS SONG SOUAD WILL BE ONES TO LAST A LIFETIME! TO ME, THIS YEAR'S SOUAD IS THE BEST YET, AND IS GOING TO BE A TOUGH ACT TO FOLLOW. I'M GOING TO MISS ALL THE GOOD TIMES WE ALL HAD THROUGH- OUT THE YEAR.
