THE LOARA CHAMBER SINGERS CONSISTS OE SPECIAL PEOPLE WHO ARE DEDICATED TO DOING THEIR BEST IN ALL THAT THEY DO. THEY ARE CLOSEL YKNIT AND ENJOY PERFORMING EOR OTH- ERS. THIS YEAR'S CHAMBER SINGERS WAS NO DIE- EERENT THE 1985-86 CHAMBER SINGERS WAS SMALLER THAN THOSE IN THE PAST CONSISTING OF ONLY T WENTY MEMBERS. THE GROUP WAS HEADED BY ALLEN SASSER PRESIDENT' SCOT THEISMEYER VICE PRESIDENT' BARBIE BENDER SECRETARY' TIFFANYDA VIS TREASURER' AND DE- ANNA WALTON AS THE LIBRARIAN. THOUGH THIS YEAR'S GROUP WAS SMALLER THAN THOSE BEFORE THEIR TALENTS AND ORGA- NIZATION SET THEM FAR ABOVE THE OTHERS. THE CHAMBER SINGERS WERE ALSO ONE OE THE MOS TAC TIVE GROUPS ON THE CAMPUS. THEY SANG ATPARTIES CONVENTIONS, AND THE OKTO- BEREES T A NE W SENSA TION WHICH WAS STARTED THIS YEAR THE YALSO SANG FORA CANDLELIGHT PROCESSION AT DISNEYLAND AND, OE COURSE THE TRADITIONAL ROSES AT THE END OF THE YEAR J. Performing for the Board of Education: I from left to rgfhtj E Davidson, B. Benden D. Mhihite, and li Dldenbern. 2. Demonstrating the comradehf feelings between teacher and student is Nffan y Da vis and Mrs. Freiman. 3, During fourth period the group did singing exercises and also rehearsed for future events. 4. kr, . THIS YEAR'S MIXED CHOIRS ARE THE FUTURE OF THE CHAMBER SINGERS AND IT LOOKS LIKE A BRIGHT FUTURE INDEED. THE NEW MEMBERS THOUGH STILL INEXPERIENCED POSSESS THE STRONG DESIRE AND DEDICA TION TO DO THEIR BEST THE TRADITIONAL MEN'S AND WOMENQS' ENSEMBLES HA VE BEEN REPLACED WITH A NEW MIXED CHOIR THE SAXON SENSATION '7 REALLY BELIEVE THAT THIS GROUP HAS A GREAT POTENTIAL TO BECOME EVEN BETTER THEYARE EAGER AND WHAT THEYDO IS IUST SENSA TIONAL, MRS. RUTH FRIEMAN STA TED PROUDL Y THE MUSIC THEY SING IS MUCH MORE JAZZ Y THAN THE TRADITIONAL SONGS SUNG BY THE CHAMBER SINGERS AND THE CONCERT CHOIR BUT CHANGE IS AL WA YS GOOD. THE CONCERT CHOIR ALSO HADA GREAT YEAR THEY PERFORMED MANY CONCERTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND TOOK PART IN SEVERAL COMPETITIONS. THEY ALSO PARTICIPATED IN THE OK TOBERFEST THE CON- CERT CHOIR LIKE THE CHAMBER SINGERS WAS SMALL- ER THAN GROUPS IN THE PAS T BUT THE SIZE ALLOWED A GREATER UNITY WITHIN THE GROUR WHICH CREATED A FESTIVE AND ENTERTAINING ATMOSPHERE I. The new and old moved choirs: the 1985-86 Saxon Sensation and Concert Choir 2. lunior lWclr K vist and Freshman lerem y Vargas listen carefulhf to the details of the music they are to perform. 3. To strengthen their voices and expand their diaphragms the stu- dents do regular breathing exercises. 4. La Von Collins awaits instructions before trying a new song 5. Partners in Crime . . . Concert Choir President Brenda Pacheclro and Woe-President Peter Harvey take part in a joyful melody. 6 Mrs. Ruth Frieman has always been a strong force behind all the choirs.
