four THE STUDENT STORE RUN BY A HARD-WORKING STAFE WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL THIS YEAR. IT WAS HEADED BY MANAGER KATHY PIERPONT AND THREE DEPARTMENT MANAGERS SHAWN BARNS MANAGED THE SNACK SHOP WHILE IEFF SMITH SUPERVISED THE MACE ISOI-7LINE GOODSj. RANDY BEAT TOOK CARE OF ALL OTHER DEPARTMENTAL FUNCTIONS LIKE CREDIT ACCOUNTS PAYABLE AND BILLS. THE BIG DIFFERENCE THIS YEAR WAS THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS IN STUDENT STORE THERE WERE ONLY SM' OR SEVEN STUDENTS ACTUALLY ENROLLED COM- PARED TO LAST YEARS TWENTY HOWEVER SM' OTHER LOARA STUDENTS VOLUNTEERED TO COME IN AND HELP IF THEY WORKED OVER ONE AND ONE-HALF HOURS THEY RECEIVED FREE CREDIT WITH THE STU- DENT STORE THE PURPOSE OF THE STUDENT STORE IS TO TEACH SMALL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT IN KEEPING WITH THIS ATMOSPHERE THE STUDENTS TOOK ROLL BY PUNCH- ING IN THEIR NME CARDS EACH DAY THEIR GRADES WERE BASED ON THE DOLLARS AND CENTS RECEIVED ON THEIR 'PAY CHECKS THE STUDENTS WORKED HARDER AND HAD MORE RESPONSIBILITY WHILE STILL PROVIDING THE SAME SERVICE TREAT THEM WITH RESPECT SAID THE ADVI- SOR MR IOE SMITI-I WHO IS ALSO THE ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR 1. CABINET ORGANIZED A NUMBER OF FUND-RAISERS SUCH AS THE TWO BLOOD DRIVES FOR THE RED CROSS THE SPIRIT WEEK FUND-RAISERS FOR THE ALBERT SITTON HOME AND THE MONEY RAISED TO HELP THE EARTHOUAKE VICTIMS IN MEXICO. IN ADDITION THE A.S.B. CABINET HELPED AR- RANGE THE GOVERNMENT DA YS THE POWDER PUFF GAME AND THE SADIE HAWKINS DANCE ONE OF THE A.S.B. 'S PRIMARY OBJECTIVES WAS THE PROMOHON OF SCHOOL SPIRIT AND CLASS PRIDE WHICH THE MEMBERS THEMSEL VES DEM- ONSTRATED DAILY IN CONCLUSION THE A. S. B. CABINET MEMBERS DEFINITELY DESERVE THE RECOGNITION AND RE- SPECT FOR ALL THEIR FINE ACCOMPLISHMENTS. I.
