This yearis Tri-Hi-Y has striven to climb far up the ladder of service, which it has built in the past. From Freshmen to Seniors, we reached into our bag of ideas and came up with some sincere and helpful ones. Helping to organize a Hi-Y Club, sending CARE packages. giving a Christmas party for the Children's Home, planning letters to the ex-Lloyd graduates in the service. and taking over the civic duties of both Erlanger and Elsmere for a day added much to our busy year. As sponsor. Mrs. VanLandingham has done an excellent job. She was assisted by Barbara Schaffer, President: Savilla Grambrell, Vice President: Betty Bolington, Secretary-Treasurer: Phyllis Kyle, Publicity Agent: Molly McGuire. Chaplain: and Miss Yablonski. Miss Scott. Mrs. Alcoke. Miss Stratton. and Miss Kincaid. advisors. ln all of our work. we didnlt forget to include fun. Combined Hi-Y and Tri-Hi-Y suppers provided us with much pleasure. and in March. we enthusiastically attended the State Youth Assembly at Frankfort. Lloyd senators and representatives to the State Assembly worked hard to get our bills passed. Junior Tri-Hi-Y IIAKIN lllllllllflp I Rl'H I-Y ,tX.-if xl K-R gal - First row: Ashcraft, Agnor, McGuire. This year we had a season's record of seven wins and two losses and a confer- ence record of six wins and two losses, putting us third place in the conference. Jump and Ferguson were named on the first NKAC team, White and Mackin on the second NKAC team. Erve Etler made honorable mention. Jump, Ferguson, and Mackin received honorable mention on the all- state team. In the opening game of the season, the Jugs tasted bitter defeat at the hands of a strong Holmes team 33-6. The second game marked an exact re- verse, as the .lugs trounced powerful Highlands 25-0. The Jugs not only played brilliant offensive ball, but also stopped one of the best backs in this area. The next game was similar to the second, as Lloyd rolled over Bellevue 41-0 with Ferguson of Lloyd leading the way. ln the fourth encounter, the Jugs had little trouble downing Campbell County 40-0 and likewise in smothering out Ludlow 34--0. Dixie Heights, the team destined to become confer- ence champions, gave us our last defeat, by cap- italizing on the breaks and defeating us 12-0. Next, the Juggernauts bounced back and behind the four touchdowns of Gary Jump, mauled Ft. Knox 42-0. The following week found the Jugs playing host to Beechwood and pounding out a deciding victory, this time to the tune of 41-0. The last game of the season found the jarring ,luggernauts downing the defending conference champions, Dayton. 25-0 to close a great season. C. T. CLALNCH 014 LL' wif Guard M 7744.
