STUDENT COUNCIL We are the governmg body of Lloyd We serve as a 11nk between the tudents and the faculty Each of us repre ents a class whlch helps to carry out the great system of democracy exlstlng 1n our country today Sponsor MR TICHENOR JUNIOR RED CROSS Let your glft be as blg as your heart The Amerlcan Red Cross' These words have meant hope and some tlmes even lxfe ltself to men ln the armed forces all over the world Today t e Red Cross 15 probably more 1mportant than lt has ever been before We were honored by havln 'Iary Sue Games elected Kenton County un1or Red Cross Secretary The teachers and students have e ponded ln a fine way 1n the var1ous projects wh1ch have been sponsorcl by un1or Red Cross th1s year Ap proxlmately forty scrap books have been made These are mamly cartoons and cross word puzzle scrap books M1ss S1tton and some of the g1rls have krutted an afghan to be used by soldxers who are ln hospltals M1ss Blame and her classes are makmg ut1l1ty bags for sold1ers M1ss Cov1ngton xs hav mg one of her glrls make some l1brary art1f s for the sold1ers llbrarles Last fall we brought toys and var1ous art1c1es for the Russlan Chrrstmas boxes The Art Club under M1ss Bevarly s supervlslon made many lovely leohday menu holders for the SHIIOFS All 1n all we feel that we have had a good year 1n Junlor Red Cross and we have enjoyed every moment of It Sponsors Miss COVINGTON Miss BLAIRE Mxss SITTON LIBRARY STAFF What can I read?
