Football for 1941 Under the d1rect1on and SUPBYVISIOD of Coach Hank Cooper the Lloyd Iuggernaut football team captamed by Harold Johnson had the most successful season of any team that ever played at Lloyd Our first game was a conference game wrth Dayton whxch we won after a hard fought battle 12 6 The next Friday we traveled to jeffersontown for a non conference game and came back wnth a 210 vnctory Our thlrd and fatal game of the year was wxth the Highland Blueblrds who upset us 6 0 The next game we played host to North College Hull on a muddv field and after strugglrng through 48 minutes of mud and water we won 9 0 S0 the mud season ended with 3 wms and 1 los-. To start the seoond half of our season we tra veled to Dayton for our Hrst mght game of the year and trounced them again 18 0 Our next game was with Ludlow another mght game whlch we took after a bad start 19 0 Dxxle Helghts was next on the llst and fell 20 6 Reallzmg we had lost the Northem Kentucky Athletxc Conference tltle by one percentage pomt accordlng to the Dlckmson ratmg system establlshed nn the conference this year we played Bellevue a hard fought game and won 8 0 Thls placed us second nn the conference standing Also m the unofficial Northern Kentucky Confer ence otherwxse known as the Bxg Exght we won with a record of 7 wms and 1 loss johnson and Kuhlmg were plcked as alternates on the All Fast team and we were fortunate to have some boys picked on the all conference team johnson Ammon and Dudderar . . . .
