Bird Pag- eant to begin, they sat back and enjoyed a pot- pourri of talent. The Tal- ent Show, hosted by Me- lanie Minor and Doug Maxwell, was a smash, with the Cover Girls danc- ing their way to first place. The dancers, Can- dice Boyette, Robin Rich, Laura Rich, and Jenny Bryan dazzled the judges with their dynamic rou- tine. Scott Campbell won the hearts of the audi- ence, quacking ‘“‘My Pre- rogative.’’ Third place was awarded to Carolyn Friend, singing ““Two Oc- casions.” After the cur- tains closed on Talent Show ’89, Fred Tarry and Stacey Tatro introduced the contestants for the Miss L.C. Bird Pageant. The long awaited an- nouncement was made after the last girl crossed the stage. Jennifer Dyson, representing Jr. NAHS, was awarded first runner- up. Taking the crown was Tracey Totty, who repre- sented SADD and be- came Miss L.C. Bird 89. The Cover Girls dance the night away at Talent Show 89. Singing ‘‘My Prerogative,’ Scott Campbell quacked his way tc f fame with a second place finish in the Talent Show. Singing ‘“‘Two Occasions,’ Carolyn Friend’s talen shines.

Right: In need of advice, Peppermint Patty writes, “Dear ‘Good Mow Dedicated To A “Good SFnienc” t was a typical day for the Peanuts gang. Charlie Brown attempted to fly a kite and to play baseball; he failed at both. Lucy teased her baby brother, Linus and nagged Schroeder over mar- riage. Schroeder played his piano. Linus clung to his “one and only’ blanket. And, Snoopy danced, pranced, barked and few. It was just a typical day for the Peanuts gang. On May 5, Youre a Good Man Charlie Brown opened with Chad Neale in the lead as Charlie. He brought the right lack of confi- dence to the role. Emily Ann Flanders . Flying high, Snoopy shoots down the Red Barron, yet again. Marks as Lucy nagged, crabbed and teased. Clinging to his blanket, Stuart Ranson was Linus. Martin Vaughan, Schroeder, portrayed the Beethoven-loving pianist. Kel- ly Starnes was the perfect Peppermint Patty. Doug Max- well woofed it up as Snoopy. The play was dedicated to Jay Mallory, 1987 graduate who died this year in a boating accident. Jay was a talented actor who brought happiness and laughter to many. You're A Good Man Charlie Brown was a fitting tribute to a spe- cial friend. A scholarship has been established in his name. .. . Far Right: You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown
