Boys, Girls Teams Net Difficult Season n the fall, the girls tennis team finished the sea- son witha 88 re- cord against strong com- petition. Led by Seniors Kim Smith voted MVP; Lynne Peto as Most Im- proved Player, and Trisha Thomas, the team had few seasoned players. Re- turning starters are Heidi Virag, Jennifer Dore and Karen Lee who earned court savy during the sea- son for next year’s team. In Spring, the boys team had only three Sen- ior members, Tom Rider, Rob Moore and Chad Clarke which led to prob- lems in leadership. Cap- tains Jay Rosenstock, sophomore; and junior, Eric Mayes took charge. Young teams have diffi- culty against tennis powerhouses through the county. Coach Langford hopes the members will return next year more ex- perienced and they will be ready to win. Nailing the shot, Chris Wade, left.
