L. C. B. Where Spirit Lives! he Lloyd C. Bird Cheer- leaders start- ed off the year by at- tending a summer camp at Randolph Ma- con College, which was sponsored by ECA. Throughout the year, both squads cheered for numerous athletes in a variety of sports, and kept the school spirit high. In January, the Varsity cheering squad sponsored and attended a competition atelse Geb idm high School. The squad re- ceived first place, for which they were awarded a trophy. To end the year in March, JV and Varsity com- bined members and participated in the Eastern Grand Finals in Williamsburg.This competition was also sponsored by ECA, and they competed in two cheering competi- tions and one dance competition as well. The cheering squads were kept very busy this year competing and boosting our spir- its sky high here at Bird. Front: Christy Cash, Kristen Stankavich.
