As captain and one of the MVP’s, Kevi n Fagan does not rest during a game. 106 Skyhawks Suffer Gridiron Headaches oming back to the gridiron after a perfect season last year proved difficult for the Skyhawks who lost thirty two sen- iors to graduation. “‘No one realized the calibre of team we had,” comment- ed co-captain Bruce Reynolds, “‘we just had an incredible streak of bad luck.”” After opening the season with back to back losses, Skyhawks pulled together to post a win. Tough luck, mental er- rors, injuries combined with inexperience to leave the team with a dis- mal 4-6 record. In spite of the gloom of the season, captains, Bruce Reyn- olds, Kevin Fagan along with Dean Jones were awarded Most Valuable Player honors. In the im- pressive wins over Man- chester, Clover Hill, Mid- lothian and Clover Hill, Adam Murphy, Terrell Oxendine, Franklin Moore, Chris Johnson, Mike Holloman, Fred Tar- ry, and Lewis Cassada re- ceived recognition for those outstanding plays that the entire team pulled together to ex- ecute. No complaints, no excuses, the team is mak- ing plans for next season. i JV Hh, MR Front: Angel Bateman, Mgr; John Goff, Mike Holloman, Mike Lotti, Chris Johnson, Jerry vis, Casey Knight, Franklin Moore, Buddy Dawson, Nanky Deaton, Mar.
