‘‘For such a young team with little experience, | think we did a terrific job,’ comments Audrey Chaney. The team. began their first AAA season with only two returning play- ers and an unmeasurable determina- tion to win. The excitement and stamina coupled with hard work helped the team to capture the Do- minion District Crown. They finished the season with a 17-7 record. Leslie Brown was selected for First Team All District and First Team Re- gional. - Audrey Chaney and Heather Brand were chosen to the District Second Team. Blood, Guts Impresses Coach ‘This team was a Blood, Guts; a hard working bunch, Brags Coach Walt Gilliam. Offensive standouts Chris Johnson and Ed- die Banks led the team to a 7-1-1 season. They opened the season with wins over rivals Meadow- brook and Thomas Dale. They ended with four wins, and one tie against George Wythe. Leading Defensive players Chris Krafft, Mike Lotti, and Bob Jones helped hold teams to 64 points.
