Sluggers Finish Second Despite having on ly one player with varsity expe- rience, the baseball team placed second only to the 1978 Southside District champions Randolph- Henry. Backed by his teammates, Rick Cratch pitched 1 no-hitter and ended with a personal record of 9 wins and 1 loss and an ERA of 0.59. The Skyhawks placed Cratch and second baseman Ron- nie White on the All-Southside District first team, while outfielder Greg Edmonds was chosen for the second team.
