Someone has figured that this com- pulsory attendance at our elementary and high schools comprises only about 370 of the total waking hours an individual lives in a lifetime fthree score years and tenj. For most of you at this stage in your life, Livonia Central plays a much bigger part in your life than this indicates. This is well, for so much has to be accomplished in SO ShOrt H tilllfr. L.C.S. is attempting to educate during this period of compulsory attendance. L.C.S. is at- tempting to prepare you for whatever is your next step. The great uncertainties of the future, in- fluenced by satellites, missiles, psychological war, cold wars, etc., make the job of your school even more important. Your later life usually reflects your interests and application while you were in school. Very serious application is needed for all those now being prepared in our schools if we, as a country, are to maintain our respected place in the roll of nations. Sincere best wishes for a successful and happy future to all those whose names and faces appear in this 1958 LIVONIAN. Sincerely, f James M. Wilson 77' 1,6072 Principal James M.
