We have attempted to follow the course of the United States from the days of the explorers down to the modern day of atomic energy. We picture the Kindergarten as the Explorers. They are exploring a new world just being opened to them, A little afraid, yet eager for something new and different. The first grade are the Indians, a little wild, but learning to settle down. The second grade are the Pilgrims. They have entered into a new and strange world. They have really landed in a different place and they are now adjusted to it. Next are the third and fourth grades, they are pictured as being in the Revolutionary War Period, They are used to school now, but don't like to be tied down. They are reaching the independent stage and are revolting against the teacher's discipline. The fifth and sixth grades are pictured as being in the Civil War Period. They are aroused in new interests and are forming their own opinions on various subjects. The seventh and eighth grades are pictured as the period of settling the west and the Gold Rush. Yes, now they are settled down much more and want to broaden their intellectual scope. However, they are also rushing for new activities such as sports and music. This is their first grown-up taste of wealth in extra curricular activities. The high school is pictured in four periods-- The first we have depicted as the Gay Nineties. They are daring and fun loving, and ready for their high school venture. The tenth grade is pictured as the Roaring Twenties. They are wild, full of pep and at times shocking, yet they are wonderful and full of eagerness and enthusiasium. The eleventh grade are pictured as being in the Depression Period. Yes, they are having a hard time-one more year of school and final preparation for life work. The twelfth grade are pictured as being in the Atomic Age, They are bursting with vim and vigor and proud that they have almost completed their twelve years of school. R 'T We have pictured the Student Council as the Continental Congress. They are young in years and yet carry a lot of responsibility. They are making a good ' L, I attempt to run our school. The faculty we have pictured as being the U.N. They ' are separate individuals with separate likes and dislikes, yet they are all working for one common cause-to give the students of Livonia Central School a good education to fit them for their future.
