XVC. the Klass of I0-N, have finally become upper classmenl llurini' our successful Freshman 'ear, we were honored to have Mrs. Krisher and Miss Deren F' as class advisors. XXIith their help and our fifty happy members, we completed two projects: A din held March fi, Mio, to which many ot' the class contributed able assistance, netted us 325110. ll fiollovving evening we held our first dance a SL Patricks Day Sweater Danceu- where the refir ner, ' 'ie esh- ments we sold were added attractions to the round and square dances. lt proved successful with a profit ot' S53.0tf. Naturally, we can't liorget our officers, Patty Locke, presidentg Paul Ciesell, vice-presidentg Mary Qnatlrocchi. secretary, and .Ioan Gilbert, treasurer. Our sophomore year was started by the election of' Barry lilum, president, Richard Clancy, vice- presidentg -loan Ciilbert, secretary, and Nancy Price, treasurer. We now numbered forty-two. Several of' ns exhibited projects at the Hemlock Pair and were lucky enough to win prizes. Our first effort vvas a dance, with music furnished by Rex Arnold and His Royal Rangers. The outstanding event, however. was the ordering of' our class rings and the long wait befiore they finally arrived. XVe served a Rotary dinner and many of' the class mothers contributed to its success. We earned the tidy sum of over S500 and were much encouraged. On April 26, a box social was held and although few attended, it was loads of' fun. Miss Crouch and Miss Stuart served as class advisor' September 717 soon rolled around and it was time to elect Barry Blum for another presidef 1 s. itial term: Bill XX hite to the vice-presidency: Mary Quattrocchi, sec'retary1 and llerman May, treasurer. Ably representing us on the Student Council are -lean Brisbane and Maureen Murphy. Miss Crouch Mrs. lfitzgeralcl are our class advisors. Eddie Hopkins and His Silver Stage Stars furnished melodies at our first dance on November 21. We next practiced sales technique on our statior campaign, which proved to be succ'essf'ul. and the rery livc-ryone's attention is focused on our junior Prom. set for May If. It is our biggest project and vve hope it will be the most successful. This will be our send-off to our senior year. 18
