The Andrew Carneige Library is one source of great pride at Livingstone College. The perpetual growth and renovation of the hbrary depicts the ideal that the institution endeavors to achieve. The library, one of the hot spots on campus has had major improvements over the past year, particularly in- side. $20,000 was appropriated for the interior renova- tion of the hbrary. Wall-to-wall carpeting was installed. Also along with that a book elevator. These two new installments has enchanced the environment of the h- brary. The library at the present has approximately 70,000 volumes. This does not include such materials as micro- films, filmstrips, and records, of which the library has a wide selection. It is an established fact that the library of any college is one of the most important structures in the hfe of the college. m Livingstone College Department of Mathematics is continually expanding to give the students a broader scope of courses. The basic program is designed to offer the student the privilege to study the fundamental pro- cedures and techniques of the mathematical and techno- logical world in which we dwell.
