Simpson, Former Chairman of the Division of Education and p sy c h o 1 og y at Livingstone College. Dr. Simpson ' s experiences in the field of higher education include seven years as a faculty member at Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte, North Carolina, and summer work as visiting professor at South Carolina State College, Orangeburg, South Carolina and Florida A. and M. University, Tallahassee, Florida. He is the local coordinator of the Southern Education Foundation Student Achievement Project. Leading up to the evaluation of the college ' s teacher education program by the State Department of Public Instruction, he served as co-chairman of the Self-Study Committee on Teacher Education at Livingstone. 7
