foreword The years we have spent here at Livingstone have contribut- ed to our lives many joys, many sorrows, many successes, and many failures. Whatever else they have been, they have been years of growth, both intellectual, physical, and spiritual. While admittedly, it is impossible to pay tribute to all of those who have contributed to the growth, may we pause to pay special tribute to a segment of our college which often goes unnoticed, unappreciated, and unsung. This segment is our President of our Beloved Institution. The class of 1960 has been indeed fortunate in having been under the leadership of two great men of our day, in the persons of President Emeritus William Johnson Trent and President Samuel E. Duncan. To them our gratitude and sincere appreciation. Though we stand in the twilight of our days here at Living- stone, as Livingstonians our work has just begun. With much work alternated with pleasure, the Staff presents to you this, 1960 Livingstone. May it, with its memories of the time you spent at Livingstone College, instill in your hearts a bond that cannot be broken as you depart from her hallowed walls, to our Dear Livingstone we offer these words. Though the years we have spent Are behind us. And the days we have left maybe few. Still our memories will always Remind us. That our first and our last Love is you.

We, the Senior Class of 1960, with undying love, respect and gratitude, and with sincerity that fills our hearts to overflowing, dedicate this 1960 LIVINGSTONIAN to our beloved par- ents. Finally their hopes, anxieties, and fondest dreams have been realized. Our beloved parents have worked, worried, and prayed for us during these four memorable years, thus we are the class of 1960. Even as this very afternoon fades into evening, and the memories of the years sur- round us, we humbly, and respectfully dedicate this annual to our beloved parents. ir
