Many sat in front of the Capital Plaza and watched the lights on the Capital's Dome go out at exactly midnight, After a few of us had received a good night's rest, we found ourselves at the break of our last day in the District of Columbia, Since our moming was free, we rushed around buying last minute gifts, Our shopping completed, we were off to the Bureau of Printing and Hrgraving, Seeing all the money being made there, we decided that they wouldn't miss any, but we couldn't get near enough to fill our pockets, Leaving, just as poor as when we had entered, we went back to the hotel for our last meal in Washington. After lunch we visited the Archives Building, where the original copy of the Constitution is on display, together with other important documents, Since we were all anxious to see the F, B,I, Building, we quickly walked across the street to wait for our guide to take us through this very interesting building. At 2:00 we were on our way to Gettysburg, Pa, , where we passed the President's farm and where we toured the battlefield where so many men of the North and the South had lost their lives, A few of our overtired ones fell asleep but awoke in time for dinner at the Gettysburg Hotel. Once again on our way homeward, we fell into that familiar sleep awakening only when we reached Rosoce, to have our wide- awake advisors tell us we had come via Scranton and Hancock, The last few minutes between Roscoe and Our Town, were a re-living of the last few days. We arrived at the Robin Hood Diner at 12:40 Tuesday morning, We said thank you and goodbye to Mr, Bailey, our bus driver, who had been so pleasant and kind to us, We also expressed our thanks and appreciation to Miss Decker and Mr. Lowrie for helping to make a dream come true on this most exciting and memorable trip, 7 fm?
