Q A K Class 4 ' H zstory As the Class of 54 completed lI,S four year run ln L M C S producer and duector Mums and Chtef took under therr wrngs thetr new cast of thrrty and began rehearslng on the L M C S stage for the stage of lrfe Elected as the productron staff to help promote a successful year were Presldent Bertre Rolletschek Vrce Prestdent Thomas O Keefe Secretary Arthur V1ele Treasurer Mary Schletermacher Student Councrl Representatrves Garl Coltn and Wrlltam Whrtehrll Durtng the frrst act the cast was sepa rated rnto two homerooms Mr DeRosa s and Mr welter s The young actors trred therr talents on the tradrtronal Halloween concessrons choosing the successful f1shpond concesston Wrth one hxt to bolster therr morale they started on a play entttled Boner Schoolroom They ended theu flrst act wtth the annual prcmc whrch they held at Our Lady of Lourdes Camp Because of the rnexperrence of the performers the second act followed much the same pattern as the ftrst The newly elected productron staff was the same as the frrst act Agarn the cast was spltt rnto two homerooms Mr welter s and Mrss Gehrt s later replaced by Mr Phrlltps The cast chose the basketball shoot as therr concessron on Halloween They once agarn presented a one act play thrs ume The Untnvtted Ghost They agarn held thetr ptcnrc at Our Lady of Lourdes Camp most enjoyable but dampened somewhat by the ram The productron staff headrng the thrrd act changed wrth Floyd Emery as Presrdent Carol Vtck as Vtce Prestdent Arthur Vrele as Secretary Mary Schlerermacher as Treasurer Gall Colm and Fred Krupp as Student Counctl Representauves Thrs year the cast ftnally was able to frt 1nto one homeroom much to thetr Joy At the annual Halloween program they chose the food concessron The members of the cast worked hard sellrng statronery and Chrtstmas cards to ratse funds for therr long awatted vacatton rn Washrngton D C The troupe had tremendous box offrce sell outs when they presented therr Juntor Prom Stardust and the Sadre I-lawkrns Dance and Hayrtde Edgewood Inn was chosen for therr annual prcmc a memorable occaston for Gall Colm when Mary Schlerermacher and Dolores Benton threw Garl tnto the lake The fmal and most excrttng act was headed by Prestdent Floyd Emery Vrce Presrdent Gene Barmcott Secretary Arthur Vrele Treasurer Mary Schlerermacher Student Councrl Representanves Fred Krupp and Peter Naumovrtz Once agam stauonery and Chrrstmas cards were sold and a Sadre l-lawkms Dance and Haynde was sponsored whtch almost completed the amount of money needed to ftnance the Washmgton trtp Our last money makrng project was a h1llb1lly program featurlng Skeeter Bonn and Hrs Prckrn and Slflglll Boys The long anttcrpated vacatton rn Washrngron proved to be more enjoyable than any had hoped for Soon after the trrp was over they began the hard work of preparrng the yearbook Txme passed swrftly and all held therr breath as the curtatn rose for the grand frnale the cltmax of four wonderful years All members of the cast recerved thetr dtplomas as a symbol of excellence Memones clouded the art and tears clouded thexr eyes as the curtarn fell
