OUR STORY TOLD Of the original one hundred-seventeen boys and girls who entered Livingston Grammar School September, 1942-'43, only twenty-one are graduating in the 1954 class. We were divided into three groups with Misses Fannie Andress, Bonnie Mae Crews, and Nell Kennedy as our teachers We felt very fortunate to be transferred to the Junior High School at the beginning of our sixth year because of crowded conditions in the grammar schoolbuilding. After three happy years, fifty members received diplomas from Junior High in May, 1950. The Fr eshmen in 1950 were just as frightened and timid as Freshmen usually are, but with our sponsors, Mr. McGregor Mr. Spoonmore, and Mr. Seamans leading us, we were soon an organized class of eighty members with Sherry Smith as Presi dent. We ended the year with a picni c at Garner's Hide Out, an occasion we will re- member always. Mrs. Peace and Miss White advised the sixty-five S o ph o m o r e s during our second year in High School. Patricia . Pritchard was our class President. We were kept vervbusyhelping with assernbly programs and especially with entertain- 'nent for the Junior-Senior Reception. One of our mostexciting years began on September 2, 1952, with Mrs, Free- man and Miss Rice as sponsors and Teddy B ufo rd as our President. The two big events in ev er y Junior Class were es- - pecially happy ones for us. Our play, They Gave Him a Co-Ed on December 4, was a real success, and the reception we gave the Seniors, May Z, was as lovely as the theme, Moonlight and Roses suggests. September 8, 1953 marked the beginning of our Senior year with fifty members. We felt like real Seniors when we received our rings on October 1. With the many Senior activities, our year was soon gone. Our sponsors, Mrs. Bone, Mrs. Knouse, and Mr. Strickland were kept busy with all the activities and nlans for us. On May 27, we hope 48 will receive diplomas.
