I-I 6HlI Visitors at L. C. H. S. This year we have had the extreme pleasure of having many in- teresting speakers come to our school and lecture to us. I am sure each of us will remember Mr. Dittmore, an ex-convict, who talked to us on the subject of Wcr1me.' He stressed that education and religion are the best weapons with which to fight crime. A talk was also given to the students by Dr. Hawkins of Shurt- leff College. He talked about many famous people such as Henry Ford, Harvey Firestone, 'Thomas Alva Edison, and John Burroughs. On the following day, Mr. Ziegel from Eastern State Teachers College, Charleston, Illinois, spoke to the seniors about college life and answered questions that were asked by the students. On December 14, we were given a band concert by the McCray-Do- wey Township High School, of Troy, Illinois under the direction of Louis Philippe.
