The students have a unique opportunity to live in a new culture and become a member of their host family. The school club organizes parties, and weekends for the foreign students living with families in New Jersey. American Field Service promotes learning, understanding and love. AFS SUMMER ABROAD STUDENTS 1? -sur ' 1 4 if ucv C39 V LARRY GERSON TINA TERRACIANO The summer of 1979 proved to be an exciting cultural experience for seniors Larry Gerson and Tina Terraciane who spent their summer's abroad due to the sponsorship of the Livingston Adult Chapter of AFS international. Larry resided in the Dominican Republic for the two month trip and Tina stayed in Mombasa, Kenya for the summer.

THE FRISBEE CLUB fl The Frisbee Club members or saucer slingers as they are sometimes called, are well into their spring practice session under the disciplined direction of Mrs. Eva Gerson. Head slinger, Doug Harte, indicates that as president he expects to rally his club for the stiff competition from various free lance challengers who in- vade the school grounds. Members are currently practicing such different maneuvers as the boomerang and the loop de loop. The youth for Youth club provides these youngsters with an older brother or sister , with whom they can confide with and be close to. The high school brother or sister accompanies his or her youngster to various activities planned by the club members. Some activities include arts and crafts, home economics, sports and parties. VICA CLUB The Vocational Arts Clubs of America, is a national organization for students involved in vocational training programs. The club stresses leadership and dignity in the world of work. Mr. Gray is the advisor of this hard- working club which meets weekly. THE STAGE CREW The Stage Crew, advised by Mr. Gorka, is responsible for creating the sets and scenery for each school produc- tion this year. They built the stage for Prisoner on Sec- ond Avenue as well as the school musical, Hello DolIy. WINTER RUNNING CLUB The Winter Running Club, under the sponsorship of Mr. Lyons, or for those students who enjoy running and keeping fit. The club meets two or three days after school.
