ADMINISTRATION What makes graduation from high school such a significant and unique time of your life? The answer is found in the fact that this singular event means so many different things to the individuals whom it affects. lt is both an end and a beginning, a feeling of fulfillment as well as apprehen- sion and a time of joy coupled with a tinge of sadness. Few other personal or collec- tive experiences elicit such a variety of deep, often conflicting emotions. This is natural, however, and it is why we who have worked with you look upon it as such an important event and share, to some extent, the thoughts that occupy your minds during these last weeks of your high school experience. May I, on behalf of the entire staff of Livingston High School, extend my best wishes for a future filled with health, suc- cess and the deep feeling of satisfaction that comes from knowing that you have helped make someone's life a little bit bet- ter. Goodbye and good luck, 5 P fx I ilfaldk 7 2447 M L3 .... Allen J. Berlin PRINCIPAL ALLEN J. BERLIN Principal MR. JOSEPH RUFALO MR- ELI GORELICK Vice Principal Vice Principal N It I I S., During the school year of 1980, LHS has not only begun a new decade but also has wel- comed a new principal. As former principal at Marlboro High School, Mr. Berlin is well exper- ienced in administrative respon- sibilities. His primary goal is to have the students at LHS con- tribute to the welfare of the com- munity. Also, he wishes to estab- lish a mutual awareness and con- cern between the school and the people of Livingston. ln addition, Mr. Berlin hopes to maintain the excellent rapport he has devel- oped with both students and fac- ulty. His long range goals include a continual review of the curricu- lum to ascertain that it remains current, effective, and interest- ing.

GUIDANCE Familiar to all Livingston High School students is the multifaceted Guidance Department. Now in his sec- ond year as director, Mr. Donald Turner helps make the department valuable in its service to the school. Mr. Turner and the school's seven counselors pro- vide students with general information about sched- ules, college selection, and career opportunities as well as specific information on an individual basis. Last year Mr. Turner instituted Guidelines, a weekly newsletter containing information about college visi- tation, financial aid, job opportunities and educa- tional programs. The other functions of the depart- ment are served by the Career Resource Center. Complete with its own computer terminal, the Re- source Center furnishes computerized information about colleges, financial aid, the military services and post-graduate programs. ln addition, the re- source area maintains a library of college catalogues and reference material. Not only does the depart- ment expose students and parents to educational and career opportunities, but it also offers informa- tion necessary for students to attain their goals. The Guidance Department supports the students at LHS and hopes they will continue to use the various re- sources and personnel available. . MR. ROBERT FEE MR. JOHN MAZZONE MR.
