CLASS HISTORY TIME MARCHES BACK 1940-One hundred one green freshmen enter Livingston Academy to begin their second field of learning. As soon as we got acquainted we elected the fol- lowing officers: Cratus Vaughn, president, Frances K. Scott, vice-presidentg Sarah Christian, secretary-treasurer, Algia Holt, sergeant at arms. Cratus Vaughn was elected bachelor of ugliness by the student body. Mrs. Peek was our kind adviser during the year. 1941-Here we are again, but at least we have advanced one year. VVe feel that we are now a part of Livingston Academy, for we take a part in all school activities. We elected officers as follows: Patricia Smith, president, Mabel Ram- sey, vice-presidentg Ilene Beaty, secretary, Margaret Winninghani, treasurer, Betty Jo Barnes, reporter. Mrs. Dills led us through a very successful year. Ilene Beaty was elected most popular girl. Yes, we do feel that we are a part of Livingston Academy. 1942-Upperclassmen. How we all looked forward to that. To start the year off right we elected officers. Ocran Winningham, president, Bill Mitchell, vice- president, Betty .Io Barnes, secretary, Margaret VVinningham, treasurer. Later in the year we presented one of the best plays in the history of Livingston Academy, Full of Youth. The members of the cast were: Betty VVindle, Alice Hood, Oleeta Garrett, Algia Holt, Haskel Huddleston, Margaret VVinningham, Sidney Eldridge, Helen Franklin, Patricia Smith, Luther Franklin, Harold Vaughn, Ocran VV inningham, Joan Little, and Martha Taylor. Miss Hankins was sponsor. Follow- ing that we entertained the seniors with a barn party rather than a customary junior-senior banquet. i 1943--Seniors. V My, how times flies! We elected the following to fill the seats as officers: Algia Holt, president, Lucille Hinds, vice-president, Katherine Sells, secretary, Margaret Winningham, treasurer. Miss Hankins is again our sponsor. As we leave Livingston Academy we wish to express our deepest appreciation to all of those who have made our days at Livingston Academy a very pleasant phase of our life and for the fond memories that will return to us in the later years.
