Mass misilznrg The class oi 1952 began the upward climb to success on September 6, 19148, entering the freshman class with twenty- five green youngsters. We were successfully led through the trials and tribulations of our freshman year by our sponsor, Mrs. Abbie Beauchamp. We returned to Livermore High School to continue the climb to success in September, 19149. we were very sorry to have lost the following classmates: Kerry Miller, Ray Higgs, Nancy Dillender, Anna Belle Howard, Diana Poiles, and willidean Tanner. We were very glad to add to our ranks Gary Humphrey, who came to us from Hartford, and Janice Crane, who came from Hawesville. Edna Ray Wi1l.iams from Calhoun joined us at mid-term. Our souhanore sponsor was Mr. Jed wllwrse On September 6, 1950, we returned to the hallowed hall of learning as jolly junior with twenty-two members :Ln the class. Many of our classmates participated in the Regional Music Festival at Madisonville. On April 20, 1951, under the direction of our sponsor, Miss Ann Calhoun, we presen- ted a three-act ccmedy, Bil1's Night 0ut. On May 7 we took the seniors and Miss Lenora Hicks to Mammoth Cave for the annual junior-senior trip. School ended for the year on May 18. We were very happy to have Mary Beller, who trans- terred from Calhoun, as a member of our class this year. We re-entered the temple of knowledge as dignified seniors on September 14, 1951. We were happy to have again as our spon- sor Mis Ann Calhoun. Since the beginning of our Junior year we had lost three members of our class, Everett Scott, Marvin Gonteman, and Reba Rose Hughart. During our senior year we lost Jackie Boyken and Greta Greenwalt. Maru of our class- mates participated :Ln the Regional Music Festival at Madison- ville, and we were very proud of the fine ratings won by mem- bers of our class. The debate team was made up from our class, the members were Janice Crane, Mary Beller, Cullen Everly, and Shelby Crouch. The debate team as well. as other entries fran our class were part of the Regional Speech Festival at Madisonville. We were proud of the rating made by all of them. On April 11 the Juniors took us to Murray College and Kentuclq Lake on the Junior-senior trip. Several of our classmates participated in the State Music Festival at Rew- ling Green on April 214. On the second day of May the senior class presented 'Go West, Young Man, a canedy in three acts. Our Baccalaureate service was May ll, our Class Night exer- cises were May 13, and on May 15, at long last, we graduated. We were very sorry to leave all the friends we have lmown for the last four years. i f S Q'
