Homecoming 1971 The week of Oct. 11 was one filled with activity as Homecoming quickly approached its Oct. 15 date. Spirit week included many contests between the Queen candidates and their escorts such as a tug-of-war, bug race, egg toss, and sponge throw. Many others were also busy preparing for Homecoming. The Freshmen and Sophomores were joining forces as were the Juniors and Seniors to make their floats. The football team was practicing hard for the game against Albany. A Time For Beautiful Dreams f N, A 4 V . V , Q ii, it ,ff The week of activities ended on October 15 with the game against Albany, the crowning of the queen, Pam Wallace, and the Homecoming Dance. The other candidates for queen were Teri Bobba. Elena Gutierrez, Kathy McCarty, Debbi Milby, and Janice Stamer. Liberty provided music for the dance whose theme was The Impossible Dream. LHS Homecoming Queen Pam reigned over the dance. She has made many friends from all parts of the student body during her years at LHS.
