The class will never forget the seniors who made us recipients of work duty and teasing. Much of the credit for our success that first year goes to our capable class president, Paul Beebe. Harold Sinclair and Jan Lanfri made a very attrac- tive couple as freshman king and queen. The sophomore year found the class of '59 taking part in such activities as the Sophomore Party and the Sophomore Hop, White Christmas. That year we selected class rings, the pattern being Jet Streak, which is a name suitable for our class. Our sophomore class president was John Aflague. Making a hand- some couple as king and queen, was Barbra Rietz and Bob Henry. By the time our junior year rolled around, members of the class were prominent in Livermore High as leaders and scholars. Mr. Satterthwaite, our class advisor, was responsible for the many class activities we had on our own such as a barn dance and a spaghetti dinner. The Junior Carnival, Calypso Holiday, with Jim Street, Judy Flynn, Jody Moomau, Darlene Russell, and John Etheridge in charge, was a tremen- dous success. We not only had the best carnival ever, but our king and queen, Jan Long and Frank Rierson, were voted school king and queen. Other activities the junior class took part in were the Junior- Senior Barbecue and Prom. Harold Sinclair served as president. This year as seniors we welcomed the class of '62 with the Freshman Reception. We started the year off with a senior picnic and a most successful Senior Play Time Out For Ginger. Crowded into our last year as well, was the Ditch Day, the Junior-Senior Barbecue, the Prom, and of course, graduation. We leave behind our beautiful new senior bench. Now our four years of high school are over, and we, the class of 1959, must go out into the world as capable, well-rounded adults ever striving for peace, happiness, and progress. With us we will take our memories of beloved friends, teachers, and scenes at Livermore High. 17
