The obiect ot the Junior Statesmen is to educate its members as voters, statepmen and loyal citizens ot the United States, and to raise their standards in order to preserve, perpetuate and develop American democracy. The club has 3l members and is sponsored by the Livermore Rotary Club. The Rotary Club contributed a large donation to send a delegate to the tall State Convention. Members ot the local chapter have attended tour regional conventions. The Sponsor ot the Livermore chapter is lvlrs, Alice lflu-,. JUNIOR STATESMEN JUNIOR RED CROSS The members ot the Junior Red Cross devote their time to service tor others, especially the sicl. This year, in spite ot organizing rather late, they have completed several proiects. At Thanksgiving and at Christmas they made artistic tray mats tor rhe hospitals. For Christmas they also made stutted dolls tor the children in the hospitals, Later in the year they made puppets tor the Children. Mrs, Ernestine Lopez is the advisor ot the Junior Red Cross.
