Regular meeTings were held every monTh wiTh many inTeresTing programs. The TirsT evenT oT The year was The Wiener roasT given by The Big SisTers Tor Their l.iTTle SisTers Day acTiviTies were direcTed by Barbara Archer. They iri- cluded an assembly, a girls' TreaT lunch, a noon volleyball game, and a nighT dance wiTh prizes Tor The besT posTers and cosTumes. The A.G.S. again sponsored inTerclass baslceTball games and The winning Team was honored aT a poTlucl4 dinner. The ir1Terschool games were played by a piclced school Team. AniTa Bass and Sharon l-liclcs represenTed L.U.l-l.S. aT The San Francisco STaTe AThleTic Conference. lvlany service poinT rules were changed under a new sysTem seT up by lvlarian Garbini. SomeThing new Tor This year was The Junior Award inTroduced by Sharon l-liclcs. This award, a school sweaTer wiTh a bloclc numeral, will be presenTed in May To The ouTsTanding girl aThleTe. The A.G.S. Advisory Board will malce The selecTion.
