--:EDITORIAL:-- We present this edition of the HGRBLH AND GOLDH of l926 for your approval. It denotes that the fourth mile-stone has been reached by the Livermore Union High School, in the editing of a school annual. We, the members of the staff, in endeavoring to mane this Annual worthy of our shhool, which we realize it represents, have put forth our best efforts. During the past years we have seen a gradual rise in the scholarship of our school. Three years ago a local hon- or society wes formed. In March l925 our school affiliated with the State Honor Society. To be a member of the socie- ties is an honor, a responsibility and a pleasure. The Honor Societies uphold the ideals and traditions of the school. They also foster scholarship. The more members the Societies have the better they function. The interest taken by our students in both these societies is made evident by the in- crease in membership. LOCAL SOCIETY January to June l925 - 17 members January to June 1926 - 52 members STATE SOCIETY January to June 1925 - 9 members January to June l926 - 14 members The above dats is a credit to our school It shows a rapid increase in scholarship, butnwc expect even a larger membership in the future. other. Our new gymnasium has played ing this school spirit, especially This year more school spirit has been shown than in any no small part in foster- in atheleties. Many more Students have turned out for football and basketball games. Scnoel spirit has also been shown in numerous activities oth er tnan athletics.
