While walking on Mission STreeT, I saw Maxiline KiTchens Towing Three IiTTle red heads along behind her. She had married Jimmy Armocido in l956 and was in The ciTy, shopping for farm equipmenT. As I was Talking To her, I saw a beggar siTTing on The sidewalk. I recognized him as Glenn Fryer. I-le is a professional pauper, and he is worfh Three million dollars, I hear. I wenT inTo Kay's Jewelers abouT my charge a,ccounT. Who should greeT me buT Daniel OTT. The manager. I-le is also co-owner. As I passed, Laverne Felber came sTaggering ouT. I-le bumped inTo me, knocking me down, and a very well-dressed genTleman lwhom I recognized as Loyd MerriTTl helped me up. Loyd's companion was Marie Severini. She had The loveliesT silver fox coaTl She is now a famous movie acTress. playing STelIa Dallas. As I was brushing myselT oTf, I dropped a quarTer. Three liTTle scrawny children ran ouT from a house and pounced on The quarTer. They belonged To J. E. Spencer and The former Velma McBride. She looked worn To a Trazzle, buT J. E. looked as happy-go- lucky as ever. AT Playland I saw a barker Tor The fun house. This barker was none oTher Than our handsome Lynn MeTferd. ReTa Lane, his wiTe, is a superb Tan dancer. BeTTy Adams married Wendell I-I., of course, and They have ThirTeen children. There are four seTs of Twins and a seT of quinTupleTs, cared for by The Unifed STaTes govern- menT. Today I received a leTTer from his wife, RuTh Parfridge I-lowell. She spoke of The couples who had married since high school graduaTion. There were Marceline Rakow and Jimmy McElroy, Elvin Fillmore and Rosemary Wicker, Alice Jane Thayer and Eddie Kilby, Gerlclean KiTchens and J. D. Vaughn, Dona Kirkpafrick and Dick Bumpus, Naomi Reid and Leslie KraTz, WhisTIe GaiTher and RuTh PuTman. The McEIroys now manage a naTion-wide Frozen Food Locker Company. The Fill- mores run a series of chicken haTcheries. The Kilbys have a very modern garage business in Live Oak. The Vaughns operaTe a rival one. The Bumpuses own a greaT mansion in Beverly Hills. Dona inherifed a greaT deal of money, iT seems. The KraTzes are mission- aries To India. They helped To calm The Jewish and Arabian people, and To seTTle Their dispuTes in Troubled PalesTine.
